I-LOFAR team with the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Minister Mitchell O’Connor, and with Julie Sinnamon of Enterprise Ireland and Clare Dunne.

We then split up into teams, where one group worked on constructing the first HBA tile, and the other worked on the LBA field, where they laid the LBA cables in the trenches.

Myself, Yanina, and Alberto, worked on the first HBA tile. where we constructed the inner structure and the intra cables. This can be seen in the images below.

Once the tile was completed, we moved the tile out of the way to start construction on the second HBA tile.

Then we focused on finishing the LBA cables in the trenches and entered them through the cable graves and in the ILT container.

We finished the two LBA cable graves, and have all the LBA cables entering the ILT (International LOFAR Telescope) container. We then moved onto the HBA tiles, which the third HBA tile was completed.

The first of the three HBA tiles went out onto the field.
